I'm Kirsten Jackson

After graduating with a BSc Hons degree in dietetics 13 years ago, I sadly got IBS myself. You would think being a dietitian that I would know how to get out of this 'situation' but I tried everything and nothing really worked. At first I kind of gave up and let IBS slowly take over my life until one day I realised that the science is not incorrect, it must be 'how' I was applying the science. And this is where my practical step by step Take Control approach was born. I was able to use a combination of movement, sleep optimisation, nutrition and mental health change to gain back control over my gut and ultimately, my life.
