Hi Olivia!
I would love to start this email off by saying something generic like 'I hope you are well' but it seems a little 'empty' considering you have uncontrolled IBS.
How does your IBS currently impact your life?
I mean, it isn't a seriously condition so it can't be that bad right?
WRONG!
This is an assumption made by others who think that IBS is just a a bit of tummy pain when the reality is that IBS impacts every area of your life.
How many hours do you spend in the bathroom each day? Trying to persuade your body to empty itself so you can feel more comfortable or perhaps your on the other end of the scale where it won't stop!
And how is that bloating impact you? Perhaps it isn't so bad in the morning but by lunch time you look 6 months pregnant and are desperately trying conceal this look wearing baggy clothes.
You feel icky about your body and as time goes on your body image is just getting worse.
And this is just the usual IBS symptoms...
What no one talks about is the brain fog and anxiety.
Do you feel like you are truly thriving in your career or home life? Do you feel like you can be truly present and live each day?
Or (the more likely scenario) - you feel like you are just a shadow of your real self because IBS is taking over.
Is IBS rubbish - yes but you don't need to put up with this because there is a way forward.
