Hi Olivia,

I hope your week got off to a good start.

I know you are on this mailing list as you have IBS but I just wanted to check that you actually have a correct diagnosis.

So many times people think they have IBS based on symptoms but actually it is another condition - sometimes this can be life threatening.

AND, even in the 13 years I have been qualified the required tests for an IBS diagnosis have changed.

You can get the full list here.

If you are unsure of what you have had done, ask your doctor for a copy. This is important.

And of course, you can reach out to me if you are at all confused.

Have a great rest of the week!

Best Wishes,

☀️ Morning routines for gut health are all over social media right now and whilst I do think doing certain things in the morning are a good idea, we have to be realistic.

😅Most of us have a limited amount of time each morning and so unless you are getting up in the middle of the night it won’t be realistic to get that ice bath and meditation session going.

🙋‍♀️ What I recommend is the following small things
1/ Pack all bags and make breakfast the night before - to reduce rushing in the morning.
2/ Do 2-3 minutes of diaphragmatic breathing which will help activate your rest and digest nervous system without the need for a long meditation.
3/ Avoid all caffeine - this can stimulate anxiety.
4/ Drink a whole glass of water before you leave the house - mornings are our most dehydrated point.
5/ Make sure you have a high fiber breakfast like granola or oats.

😅As you can see this list is doable but with the consistency comes results.
