About Kirsten

Hi, and welcome to my Take Control membership site!

I am Kirsten Jackson, a Consultant Gastroenterology Registered Dietitian and the founder of The Food Treatment Clinic.

My journey to becoming a specialist in gut health started with a very personal story.

I had always been into my science and so decided to become a dietitian at an early age. BUT whilst I was at university I suffered with bloating, fatigue, brain fog and depression.

I was pretty embarrassed to be honest, because none of my symptoms were 'that bad.' Yet I was struggling with normal day tasks and at times making zero sense.

I even went to the doctor but was told that I was just stressed and that there was not enough reason to be doing further testing - I felt pretty humiliated and a little like a hypochondriac.

I went on to graduate and luckily ended up working in gastroenterology when I graduated. I soon learnt that I actually had a digestive condition just like you reading this now!

I could not believe how much better I felt for getting the correct help but I didn't feel there was the help needed out there for others, like me.

So I set up The Food Treatment Clinic where I was able to get a 91% success rate with IBS clients.

In 2019 I launched the first Take Control membership program - allowing more people to access my proven framework at a fraction of the cost AND at any time / place.
